P.O.D. (Payable On Death) exploded to the stratosphere with the extraordinary album "SATELLITE." They mix rock, rap and metal in a brilliant way, with positive lyrics that displays the band's Christian faith. . "Alive", "Boom" and "Youth of a nation" are a few of many highlights on "Satellite. American heavy metal band
Bloodgood released their first album in 1986. The lead singer has a "nasally" voice that can't be compared to anyone I've ever heard. Their latest studio album was recorded in 1993, but in 2000 a live dvd named "Bloodgood rock theater", was released. After five studio albums, much controversy and limited success, the group disbanded in 1994, and experienced what was deemed a "false start" in 2002 before reforming in late 2006. They are currently working with Oz Fox from Stryper in a newly formed lineup.

Bride is a Christian heavy metal/hard rock band formed in the 80s, by brothers Dale and Troy Thompson. Despite being criticized for their abrupt changes in style, the band has remained largely popular in the US and other places like Brazil. Lead singer Dale Thompson's screaming vocals is combined with pure metal and crystal clear evangelical lyrics.

Mortification is probably the most famous Christian death-metal band around. The band members are from Tasmania and belong to the Pentecost church. Vocalist Steve Rowe has one of the rawest voices in the genre.

Deliverance started out as a speed metal band with their first album release back in 1989. Their later albums have a much slower style, but is still pure metal. Deliverance recently reformed with a lineup of Jimmy P. Brown II, Mike Phillips, Corin Jae Scott, Tim Kronyak, and Mike Reed. The band's most recent album, entitled "As Above - So Below" was released in 2007.

One Bad Pig is a punk band which released their first album in 1989. Their big breakthrough came a year later though, with the album "Swine Flew". Although they have not released any full-length albums of new material since 1991, they still play reunion shows at various Christian rock festivals and have not declared their band broken up yet.

The most successful Christian metal band ever, Stryper, was a pioneer in Christian music. Their first album, "The Yellow And Black Attack" which was released in 1984, was one of the very first Christian metal albums. Stryper is still going strong, and their latest album, Murder by pride, was released August 2009.

Narnia is a Swedish melodic metal band, with its roots undeniably in Malmsteen territory. Founded by guitarist Carl Johan Grimmark and singer Christian Liljegren in Sweden in 1996.
